An all-keys-lost situation on a Citroën Dispatch 2012 commercial van in Weedon Bec, Northamptonshire. Every key had been lost and the van — a working vehicle — was stranded. We attended, programmed a new key on-site, and had the driver back on the road without a tow truck or a dealer visit.
The Job
The Citroën Dispatch (second generation, 2007–2016) uses the PSA group BSI system with an ID46 transponder — the same platform shared with the Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace. An all-keys-lost job on this van requires generating a completely new key set without any existing key present, which means using specialist PSA-compatible programming equipment to write directly to the BSI module.
We carried the correct Dispatch blank on the van, cut the blade on-site, and programmed the transponder using our PSA tools. One fully working key — engine started, van back in service.
