A customer in Daventry, Northamptonshire needed a spare key for their Nissan Juke 2018 — a practical, popular crossover that's particularly common across the NN11 area. Like many used cars, it had come with only one key. We attended at the customer's home and had a fully programmed spare ready within the hour.
The Job
The 2018 Nissan Juke (F15 facelift) uses a Nissan 40-bit or ID46 transponder in a proximity smart-key format — the car locks and unlocks as you approach, with push-button start. Programming a second key requires connecting to the car's BCM and writing the new key alongside the existing one, without resetting the original.
We arrived with the correct blank, cut and programmed on-site. Both keys tested — locking, unlocking, push-start — before we left.
