A customer in Milton Keynes needed a replacement key for their Peugeot 3008 2012 — the original was worn and unreliable. You can see both keys in the photo: the old, battered original and the fresh replacement, cut and programmed on the driveway the same morning.
The Job
The Peugeot 3008 (2008–2016 generation) uses a three-button flip key with a transponder chip — the key blade must be cut to the vehicle's lock profile and the chip programmed to the immobiliser. We carry the correct Peugeot-compatible blanks and diagnostic interface as standard.
We attended on-site, cut and programmed the new key, and confirmed it worked in the ignition and all locks before leaving. The customer also kept the old key as a backup.
Worn Keys — Worth Replacing Early
A key that's visibly worn isn't just ugly — the blade profile degrades over time, and eventually it won't turn the lock cleanly. It's far better to replace it while you still have a working original (which we can copy from) than to wait until it fails and you need a full all-keys-lost procedure. Replacing a worn key is quicker and cheaper than an emergency call-out.
