Toyota uses Texas Instruments ID67, ID70 and ID74 transponder chips depending on model and year. Older models use a basic 4D chip; current models use smart entry proximity keys with 433MHz or 315MHz remotes. Hybrid and electric models (Prius, C-HR) typically use the proximity smart key system.
