Volkswagen Key Technology
VW uses the same VAG immobiliser platform as Audi — IMMO2 through IMMO5 and the current MQB system. Older models typically use ID48 chips; current MQB-platform vehicles use AES transponders with proximity access. The Golf and Polo most commonly use flip keys with 433MHz remote from Mk5 onward.
