The Job
The BMW 4 Series (F32/F33/F36) uses a multi-point door lock system with double-locking capability. When locked out with keys inside, the correct approach is to use long-reach and wedge tools to create a controlled gap in the door seal, then manipulate the internal mechanism without touching the paintwork or glass. Attempting to force entry causes expensive damage to the door card, seal, or locking mechanism.
